The starting point for  my work comes from a desire to capture what I feel is special at a particular moment. Some of these moments can be very transient, and some to do with physical change……

I am interested in enhancing what is special about things/ experiences that might be described as mundane, unless you scratch below the surface.

Movement and energy fascinate me… the way that a line can tell you how fast it was drawn.  I enjoy the interaction and sense of discovery that working with other people can give. Much of my work is collaborative, almost always at the beginning.

I am very interested in the life –enhancing qualities that art can have. To me everyone has creative ability- just look at people’s gardens.

I use different media for different ideas.
