sally reaysally reay designs and makes precious metal jewellery in her workshop at mivart street artists studios in bristol. she originally graduated from art college with a degree in graphic design and taught herself basic silver smithing and jewellery making techniques in a spare bedroom after spending a year travelling in Mexico and Guatemala. she has more recently attended several summer schools and master classes to develop some of the techniques and skills she now uses in her jewellery designs. these include photo etching and oxidisation combined with a matt or shiney finish to give a strong graphic element to her jewellery designs. her current collections are inspired by graphic elements taken from vintage wallpapers, origami papers and japanese kimonos. each piece is made from british sterling silver and is hand finished with love and care by sally, she only uses the highest quality materials and works to the highest standard. her current collections include a range of pendants, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and brooches which you can see by selecting the links under the logo at the top of the page. sally also works to commission making bespoke engagement and wedding rings in gold, white gold or platinum, often set with diamonds, sapphires or rubies. contact sally to find out more about this service or visit www.sallyreay.com to see some samples.
