Julie combines handmade recycled paper and textile fibres with hand-stitch to create stunning, ethereal interior pieces.  This year she will be showcasing her brand new wall pieces with stitched wooden background, alongside her trademark lampshades. Other recent pieces include vessels, mirrors, and jewellery.

She has recently set up a studio in Bristol at Mivart Street Artists, after leaving The Museum of English Rural Life in Reading where she was resident artist/ maker and had completed an18-month placement on the Arts Councils’ ‘Setting up Scheme’ (an initiative to help emerging artists/ makers set up in business) where she also installed a large-scale commission for the museum.
